Route calculation weighs distance, estimated time, traffic density and your toll road preference, if set. When traffic changes or a road closes mid trip, the route recalculates automatically.

Yes, the route planning screen lets you choose between the fastest option, a toll free preference, and a lower traffic option. Each alternative shows a side by side comparison of estimated time and distance. If a new alternative appears mid trip, the app notifies you and you decide whether to switch.

How does lane assist work?

As you approach a multi lane junction, NavGo gives timely visual and voice guidance for the correct lane. Lane guidance sharpens gradually as you get closer to the junction, with an early heads up followed by a final prompt right before it. This reduces distraction especially in unfamiliar cities and complex motorway interchanges.

Why does my route sometimes look different from what I expected?

The route is shaped by current traffic conditions, roadworks and up to date road restrictions, so it can vary. Map and traffic data refresh constantly, so the same journey can be suggested differently at different times of day. If you prefer a specific road, you can pick it manually from the route options.

Where do radar alerts come from?

Radar and checkpoint data is fed from a constantly updated database and from community reports. Fixed radar locations are verified on a regular basis; mobile radar reports are refreshed by real time submissions from NavGo users. If you believe a report is inaccurate, you can send feedback from within the app.

What does an average speed corridor alert mean?

It means you are on a stretch of road where your average speed between an entry and exit point is being checked. NavGo keeps your target pace on screen across the corridor, helping you hold a safe, steady speed without sudden acceleration or braking. The remaining distance to the end of the corridor is shown as well.

Do radar alerts work the same way in every country?

No, the coverage and level of detail depend on the regulations of the country you are in. NavGo provides map coverage in 38 countries and shows radar information only to the extent local regulation allows. Some countries show only fixed checkpoints, while others also show average speed corridors.

Can I turn radar alerts off?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can disable radar and speed alerts entirely or by category from the app settings. From the settings menu you can manage fixed radar, mobile radar and average speed corridor notifications separately. These alerts are on by default because their purpose is to increase your awareness.

How do I download offline maps?

From the My Maps section in the app, choose a country or region to download it to your device. Downloaded maps run navigation, route calculation and search without an internet connection. We recommend downloading over Wi-Fi, since larger regions can need several hundred megabytes of space.

Can I still get radar and traffic information offline?

Radar locations are stored alongside the offline map, but live traffic information requires an internet connection. This means you keep basic radar protection on long trips across borders or rural areas, and as soon as a connection is available, traffic and the latest radar data sync automatically.

How often are downloaded maps updated?

NavGo checks for map updates in your downloaded regions at regular intervals and notifies you. Updates are usually applied automatically once a Wi-Fi connection is detected; you can switch this to manual only updates in settings if you prefer. An outdated map may not reflect newly opened roads or changed restrictions.

Which regions should I download for a trip from Türkiye to Europe?

You can download each country along your route individually, or use ready made region packs such as the Balkan Corridor. NavGo offers multi country region packs for common Türkiye to Europe routes, so you do not need to search for and download each country separately at every border crossing.

What does NavGo Prime add?

Accepted Answer

NavGo Prime provides unlimited offline map downloads, an ad free experience and priority live traffic data. Additional features such as synced route history across multiple devices are also included with Prime. The free version continues to offer core navigation, radar alerts and limited offline map use.

How do I upgrade to NavGo Prime?

Accepted Answer

You can upgrade from the NavGo Prime screen inside the app, or from the Download page on our website. Payment is processed through the App Store or Google Play depending on your device; NavGo does not store your card details.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the account settings of the store you purchased it through (the App Store or Google Play). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Prime features until then. NavGo support cannot cancel a subscription directly, since it is managed through the store.

Do I need to create a NavGo account?

No, you can use the core navigation features without creating an account. However, creating an account is required to sync your route history across devices or to subscribe to NavGo Prime.

How is my location data used?

Your location is processed only to provide navigation, radar alerts and traffic information. Background location access is used only during active navigation and with your consent; you can turn this permission off at any time from your device settings. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete my account and data?

You can start an account deletion request by emailing info@navgo.co. Your request is processed within a reasonable period, and personal data linked to your account is deleted, except where legal retention obligations apply.
